The OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO BRITISH FILM was awarded to BBC Films.

They have also been involved in the making of some other popular films throughout the years. These films include (but not limited to) Saving Mr Banks, Brighton Rock, My Week with Marilyn, Made in Dagenham, Mrs Browns Boys D'Movie, In The Loop, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Notes on a Scandal and Billy Elliot. Some have been purely created by BBC Films, others have been co-productions with other companies.

Anyone that knows me, knows that Jack O'Connell is a current obsession of mine. Having once met him a few years back before he was really famous, I have followed his career.
Imagine the situation, I went to bed early, missing the majority of the BAFTA award results. I'd mentioned earlier that day to someone that I hoped that Jack would get the rising star award. The next morning I wake up and see it mentioned in a comment on Film Club about some of the results. Scanning through them for the one I really wanted to see, I felt really excited (I know, its a bit sad) and there it was...
The winner of the 2015 BAFTA RISING STAR award was Jack O'Connell.
I just feel that he deserves that award, so much more than any other young actors out there.
Jack started off starring in TV programs like The Bill, then moved onto his first movie, This is England. After a few more TV appearances, Jack starred in Eden Lake a terrifying thriller. After Eden Lake, Jack's next big move was into the TV series, Skins. He hung around for a couple of seasons, before moving into a TV mini series based on Martina Cole's The Runaway. Starring in The Runaway seemed to make him pop up on the radar for more film makers, as recently he has moved on to movies such as Starred Up, '71 and under Angelina Jolie's direction in Unbroken.
