First and foremost (probably the most important place), my inspiration comes from my children. They are my life. They make me want to do things that I never dreamed I would do. I know this is only a reviews website, but you never know when I might get noticed by someone important (watch out everyone, I could be writing for a top notch newspaper or magazine soon haha)
Film Club on Facebook
I don't think any amount of words can explain how grateful I am for Film Club (or FC as it is lovingly referred to). Due to FC, I managed to meet some of the best people I could ever imagine meeting (Carl, Jesse, Ben, Kam, Lizzy, Robyn, Justin, Mooky, Gaz, Jessica, Jess, Lauren, Stacie, David, Dennis, Robert, Kendall. Allie, Ryan etc etc - If I haven't listed you it doesn't mean I love you any less) and I really enjoy discussing movies and TV with FC members (of which there are over 6000 now).
Here is a word from one of FC's creators:
How exactly do you define a place like Film Club? What started as a collection of five or ten of us that maybe just wanted to take a little time each day to rave about how much we loved Evil Dead or Scarface, has snowballed into this massive collection of people who want to take a lot more that a couple minutes each day to express our likes and dislikes about everything from movies to television, from books to video games, and everything that goes into making them. It's become a place where people post movie reviews, movie news, movie rumours, trailers, posters, cinema related funny pictures, their own projects and so much more. When this whole thing started we had a philosophy that it didn't matter what people wanted to talk about or post, as long as it was related to entertainment, we wanted to see it and we wanted to talk about it. We also thought it was very important that we have no drama and we have no rules. We just talked back and forth with each other, and then some people joined in, and some other people joined in, and some others, and so on. Thousands of people later, we finally had to break down and find some common ground, because as most of us know, us movie nerds can get defensive about our opinions.
We have a real community here, if you're thinking about joining this page you should know that it really is a great group. We have made a lot of very good like-minded friends here, and we have certainly made some enemies as well. This description is all about maintaining that community and letting you know what we believe will be best for the community as a whole.

FC Music Club
Born from FC members (David, Dennis & Gabriel), FC Music Club has only been going for a few days but already has a huge following.
Here is a word from one of FCMC's creators:
FC Music Club is a group where you can discuss music of ANY type of genre without being judged. We encourage you to share your favorite songs and artists. Introduce other people to them while at the same time discovering others that you would have never heard of if not for this wonderful outlet.

FC Book Club
FC Book Club is a sister (or daughter) group to FC. Set up by FC Members Robyn and Jo, we wanted a place where we could talk about books to our hearts content.
Our aim as FCBC is to provide an environment that everyone feels they can talk to us about any books at all. We cover all sorts of books from childrens books (even the ones that are just pictures), comics, ebooks, books with pages and audio books (if there is any type of book that we have missed, then include that also). We have a couple of published authors that have joined us so far and we are happy to be able to discuss both their own and other books with them. To be honest, I feel quite honoured that they have chosen to join us.
At present we are a small community, but if you like reading, we welcome you to join us.

FC Video Game Club
Run by Sebastian, FC Video Game Club was one of the first side groups to be created.
Video game club started coming up as a possibility when technology became so advanced that games could be confused with movies. Now with the growing interest in movies being based off video games we decided to branch out for serious and casual gamers to come together and freely express their opinions.

FC Food Club
Run by Dennis, this is the latest in the film club subsidiary groups this time targeting our basic need, FOOD. Feel free to share recipes, ideas and combinations. In the words of Alton Brown, "Good Eats!"

The Church of Bruce Campbellism
Two FC members (Robert and Jason) have a healthy obsession with Bruce Campbell and have set up a group just for the appreciation of Lord Bruce (as they refer to him). A fan club of sorts.
Here is a word from creators of this group:
Here at the Church of Bruce Campbellisim we dedicate our lives to showing the world the greatness that is Lord Bruce. His glorious chin has shone upon us so that we may watch his groooooovy films, join us as we praise his name and celebrate all things Bruce

Adult Colouring is my latest passion/obsession/hobby/past time... whatever you wish to call it. I'm leaning towards artistic flair, but this one seems to be sticking around a bit longer than they normally do.
