Harris tried to bring some comedy to show by opening with a quote pertaining to the media storm about the lack of nominees from a certain race..."the best and the whitest, sorry brightest." Whilst getting an abundance of giggles on the night, there are various articles on the internet now talking about the likelihood of Harris being a 'little bit racist'.
Harris' previous work include TV Sitcom, 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'. He is much loved by a lot of the general public for these roles.
Big Hero 6 was up for one nomination which it managed to win.
The film won Animated Feature Film on the night.
American sniper was up for a total of six nominations on the night.
Alan Robert Murray and Bub Asman walked away from the ceremony the proud owners of the Sound Editing oscar.
Birdman was up for a massive total of nine nominations at the OSCARS.

Patricia Arquette took home the OSCAR for Actress in a Supporting Role.
Boyhood was up for a total of six nominations, everyone thought Boyhood was going to steal the majority of categories on the night, when in fact, they only won one.
Citizen Four also had one nomination that it managed to win.
It won the Documentary Feature award.
Again, one nomination and one win.
Crisis Hotline won the Documentary Short OSCAR.
Feast walked out with the Short Film (Animated) award on the night.
Another one with only one nomination.
Grand Budapest had nine nominations in total and managed to win in four of those categories.

Ida had two nominations on the night.
The film won the Foreign Language Film award.

On the night, it won just one award, the Writing (Adapted Screenplay).
Five nominations in various categories for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar.
Walking away with Visual Effects on the night.

The Phone Call won Short Film (Live Action).
Selma had two nominations.
Winning Music (Original Song) was the highlight of the night for the Selma team.
Julianne Moore took away the only win for Still Alice.
The film got the Actress in a Leading Role award.
Eddie Redmayne was the star of The Theory of Everything.
He managed to bag the film the Actor in a Leading Role OSCAR.
The immensly popular Whiplash was up for five nominations.
