"That's alright, That's ok. You're gonna pump our gas someday"
Director: Peyton Reed
Released: 2000
Runtime: 98 minutes
Bring It On marks an important time in my life. It was released in the year 2000. I left high school and started college the same year. I was drawn to this film like a moth to a light. I was at a crucial stage, trying to decide what to do with my life, and this film was a bright light amongst the stress.
Torrance has just taken over as RCH's cheer-leading squad leader. While preparing for the national cheer-leading competition, she discovers one major issue with their routine. Watch as Torrance and the Toros battle it out to become cheer-leading champions once more against the East Compton Clover's.
I love this film. I always have been a fan of Eliza Dushku (known for Dollhouse and Buffy the Vampire Slayer to name a few) who plays Missy, the new girl on the squad and Torrance's new best friend. As per other things I have seen her in, Dushku's performance is amazing.
Kirsten Dunst plays Torrance, the newly voted cheer captain. Dunst, as far as I'm concerned tends to always give an ok performance. Bring It On is no different. I can't see anything in this film that is any different to any other.
There are so many quotable lines from this film (like another favourite of mine, Mean Girls) that I really wanted to post lots of them, however, I stuck to just two. Do you have any favourite lines from Bring It On?
