Director: Christian Duguay
Released: 2008
Runtime: 99 minutes
A group of teenagers considered to be a risk to themselves and others around them are sent on a rehabilitation program meant to help them. However, upon arriving, Sophie realises that things are not as straight forward as they seem.
This has the makings of a really good film, yet it kind of falls flat half way through. I found the story to be quite interesting, especially seeing as it is loosely based on true events (and when I say loosely, I mean exceedingly loose, flapping around if you would).
My main issue with this film is Mila Kunis (from Ted and Oz the Great and Powerful). Kunis is a stunning lady, don't get me wrong but I have little faith in her acting. Even the two mentioned films that she has also starred in proved absolutely nothing to me about her talents (or lack of) in acting. Her performance is ok. Nothing special. Nothing that I need to write and tell everybody about (but that's what I am doing anyway).
The rest of the cast (Gregory Smith, Peter Stormare, Regine Nehy, Alejandro Rae, Christopher Jacot and Tygh Runyan-Logan) didn't put up much of a show either. The lack of acting skills killed this film. It could have done so much better.
